Built Environment Education at School: An Interdisciplinary Opportunity for Architects and Educators

The article introduces the topic of Built Environment Education (BEE) within the context of Czech primary education, offering a perspective from the field of architecture. Its aim is to contribute to an interdisciplinary debate on the role of the built environment in education, highlight the potential for collaboration between architects and educators, and reflect on existing initiatives in the Czech Republic. The text combines theoretical foundations of BEE, international examples, and a review of the current situation in Czech schools, emphasizing the need for systematic support for teachers and greater openness of the architectural profession toward educational engagement.
